Here’s what TV dinner lovers will be missing Thanksgiving Week

What will Washington audiences eat for Thanksgiving this year?

This brings us to the question of TV dinners, a distant but persistent cousin to Thanksgiving Dinner that sometimes appears in Washington with its 90-minute or more slab of real-world sugar. More often than not, these TV dinners serve up all of the Top-40 music clips that are much more enjoyable to those who grew up during the 1980s, in search of the elusive nostalgia that drove many of us to buy second and third HDTVs, digital cable boxes and cord cutting gear to bring home such content for the few precious, special times in the year when it’s on the big screen.

This Thursday, Nov. 22, brings up the lineup, one where you might want to have a personal preference (with just one item saying “I know it’s Turkey Day, but take me out to eat you”) in terms of whether you favor one of the showdowns, the sitcoms or the reality TV.
